There are so many negative connotations attached to the future of education in South Africa. We have low pass rates, lack of resources, accessibility issues, overcrowded classrooms and underpaid teachers. These are just some of the extremes the country is dealing with.
But it’s not all bad. There are also some incredible developments happening in this industry. Thanks to committed, forward-thinking people, our education system can be transformed. Red & Yellow hosted a round table discussion with education stalwarts and thought leaders to get their views on what the future of education looks like. We also asked how they think lifelong learning can be put into practice and keep up with this ever-changing industry.
The panel consists of:
Rob Paddock – Founder and CEO of Valenture Institute, South Africa’s first online high school.
Professor John Simpson – Emeritus Professor and former Head of UCT’s School of Management Studies and current Head of the Management Studies faculty at Red & Yellow
Wesley Fredericks – MD of Red & Yellow.
There’s a lot to digest, and a lot to be excited about.
