Three new programmes for life-long learners
Whether you’ve just matriculated and are still unsure of your career path or are looking for continuing education development (CED), three new part-time offerings from Red & Yellow Creative School of Business may be the education opportunities you never knew you needed!
Launching on 6 June 2022, Red & Yellow will now offer three of their most popular Advanced Diplomas as part-time offerings over two years. Each course is set at NQF level 7 and aimed at providing students with new tools to get their foot in the door or upskill themselves for an ever-changing work environment.
“By offering these programmes on a part-time basis, we are hoping to provide those in highly demanding jobs or who are time-poor with an opportunity to grow their knowledge or learn skills for a field outside of the one they are currently employed in,” says Di Charton, Head of Department: Marketing and Senior Lecturer (Marketing and Advertising Communications) at Red & Yellow Creative School of Business.
“I always tell students that being flexible is key to preparing for their future. Even if they are unsure of their career path, taking a course that will be useful across multiple fields will set them up for success.” She continues.
What to expect
The three programmes that will be available include Advanced Diplomas in Marketing and Advertising Communications, Copywriting, and User-Centered Design. The courses will be delivered online with three contact sessions per week. Each programme also includes eight weeks of intensives, spread across the two years, where students will be required to work collaboratively with peers in other disciplines.
The Marketing and Advertising Communication programme aims to provide students with a knowledge of concepts and processes that give insight into marketplace forces, consumer decision-making, and effective brand positioning while the Copywriting programme combines skills in creative and conceptual strategy with transmedia narration and writing. The User-Centered Design programme emphasises the understanding, implementation, and design of digital products and services. All three programmes also allow students to implement their newfound skills in real-world scenarios, built on the foundation of Red & Yellow’s learning environment where theoretical components are driven home by practical application.
“Our low student-to-lecturer ratio also enables our lecturers to mentor and guide students, both in their studies and in finding their place in the world,” adds Charton. “With these part-time programme offerings, students will develop skills that can come in handy in any job space.”
Applications for the Advanced Diplomas in Marketing and Advertising Communication, Copywriting, and User-Centered Design open on 6 June 2022.
